The Flip Mino HD is incredibly tiny. Although slightly thicker than my iPhone, it is not as wide or tall. It fits perfectly in my front pants pocket along with all with the other devices that I am carry. The body is made of a shiny plastic which does attract fingerprints. However, the Flip Mino is very easy to handle and its not slippery at all. The advertising claims that the Mino is the smallest HD video camera in the world.
The controls on the Flip Mino HD were designed so that anyone can use the device. To start shooting video, you just point the Flip at your target, and press the red button on the back to start recording. Press the button again and the recording stops. The 1.5 inch lcd is small, but it is crystal clear which makes it easy to see what you are shooting.
Video quality on any video camera is of course very important, and the Mino HD doesn't disappoint here. The camera enables you to shoot 60 minutes of high definition quality video at 1280x720 resolution. I've experienced some issues in low light situations, but overall the Flip Mino has handled everything I've thrown at it.
The software included with the Flip Mino HD is very user friendly. It makes editing videos and uploading them to your favorite video sharing sites a breeze. It also works on both Mac and Windows machines which is great. Transferring videos to your computer consists of using the Flip's signature USB connector and plugging it into a free USB port. This charges your Mino as well.
The Flip Video Mino HD is a great choice for a cheap, high quality video camera. I like taking it with me on vacations, and I've been able to shoot some great videos with it. You should be able to find the Flip Mino HD at any online electronics store for around $200.
